Sweet Chilli Sauce
This homemade sweet chilli sauce is the perfect balance of sweet and spicy, with a tangy kick that makes it irresistible. Ideal for dipping, glazing, or drizzling!

- 3 tablespoons garlic thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon fresh red chilli finely minced
- ¼ cup honey
- 2 teaspoons black or white pepper powder or crushed
- 3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
- ½ cup of butter
- 1 teaspoon salt
Put ½ cup of butter, 3 tablespoons thinly sliced garlic, 1 teaspoon salt and 2 teaspoons black or white pepper powder in a small saucepan. Put on a low heat setting.
Once the butter starts to melt, mix well until the butter starts to bubble.
Add ¼ cup honey and mix well.
Leave on the low flame for about 5 minutes, stirring continuously to allow the garlic to cook through.
Add 3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice and keep on the heat, stirring continuously until the sauce thickens and reduces to half the quantity.
